An AudioSRT alternative with no watermark
AudioSRT is a capable browser tool with a full subtitle editor. The one thing its free tier keeps back is a watermark on the export. If that is what you are trying to get around, this page generates the same formats for free.
Advanced options
This tool is built and verified for English. Other languages run on the same small model and are noticeably less accurate — expect to correct a lot of the output. Chinese comes out in Traditional characters.

What AudioSRT does well
It is one of the most complete browser-based subtitle tools available. Its free tier is genuinely free: no sign-up, no file size limit, no duration limit and no cap on how many files you run. The editor is a real one — a waveform timeline, per-cue splitting and merging, font, outline, shadow and position controls, and a live preview. It can also export Premiere Pro JSON and burn subtitles into an MP4 on its paid plans, and it ships a Windows desktop app that claims 20× speed with GPU access.
Where people look for an alternative
- The watermark. Free-tier exports are watermarked. Removing it means the $8/month cloud plan.
- Export formats. The free tier gives SRT, VTT and TXT. If you need ASS, LRC, TTML or CSV, you are out of options there.
- Model size. Its browser mode is reported at roughly 1–5 minutes per file depending on your device.
What you get here instead
- No watermark on any export, on any tier — there is no paid tier.
- Ten export formats: SRT, VTT, TXT, ASS, SSA, LRC, SBV, SMI, TTML and CSV.
- A batch queue: drop several files and each one is downloadable as soon as it finishes.
- ~75 MB model download on first use, then cached for offline use.
Where AudioSRT is still ahead
Its subtitle editor is more complete than ours — waveform, styling controls and live preview. Its cloud plan adds 100+ languages, speaker labels, AI summaries and translation, which we do not offer. And its desktop app is much faster than anything running in a browser. If you need any of those, stay with it.
FAQ
Is this free?
Yes, and there is no paid tier at all. There is no watermark because there is nothing to upsell.
Does it have a subtitle editor?
Yes, but a simpler one: every line is editable, you can delete lines and shift all timings at once. It does not have AudioSRT's waveform, styling controls or live preview.
Can I burn subtitles into the video?
No. We export subtitle files; burning them in happens in your editor at export time, which also keeps the text editable.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Transcription runs on your device via WebAssembly, and the tool works offline after the first model download.
What languages are supported?
English. Accuracy for other languages on a model this size is not good enough to ship, so we do not offer it yet.
